Could Outlander season 5 trailer be revealed at New York Comic-Con?
Now, the question that we have to wonder about is this: What is Outlander and Starz choose to bring to all of the folks over at the convention? Are we going to have a chance to see some sort of official season 5 trailer, or something even more substantial?
Let’s start things off by saying this — we have a hard time imagining that there will be a premiere screening at the convention this year. The past two times we’ve seen this happen at large-scale conventions, it has been a relatively short span of time away from the premiere. This time around, though, Outlander is at least three episodes out from its 2020 premiere at NYCC, if not longer than that. There’s not much logic in Outlander screening its first episode so early — it may not even be complete! (Consider this us tempering expectations; watch it somehow still happen.)
A better expectation is that you’ll get to see either a full-fledged season 5 trailer (which could contain footage from some early episodes), or maybe a five-minute clip or something in that capacity from the premiere. We could see Starz being comfortable showing that off.
More than anything else, one thing that we’re confident in is this: Starz won’t send the cast and crew of Outlander to New York empty-handed. While Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, and others are the biggest selling point, they’ll want to make a big splash for much of the world. Video footage is the best way to do that.
What do you want Outlander to show off at New York Comic-Con?
