NCIS season 17: Diona Reasonover on Cote de Pablo’s return

NCIS

With Cote de Pablo returning as Ziva for the NCIS season 17 premiere, it’s fun to see so many people from the show excited that she is on set. So far we’ve gotten a little tease about Ziva’s return from Wilmer Valderrama who’s character of Nick Torres has never met her before, and today we have another actor from the show, who also hasn’t shared any screen time with Ziva, talking about this whole experience.

For some more insight on that, just take a look at some of the latest commentary on the subject via Diona Reasonover, the most-recent series addition and the actress behind the fantastic Kasie Hines. Speaking on Instagram Live, Reasonover made it clear that she was in the dark alongside the entire fanbase over the idea of Cote coming back as Ziva in the first place:

“I’m [very] excited that we have Ziva at NCIS. It’s pretty cool — actually, just to tell you guys something, I did not know that Cote was coming back. I didn’t know! I was watching it just like everybody else — I had looked down from my screen to type something, and I heard ‘hello, Gibbs’ … I was screaming just like everybody else.”

We’ve heard from some other actors that they were told of Cote’s return in advance, but apparently that does not apply to every single series regular out there. There were a lot of people who worked on the show who were completely in the dark, but are all sorts of pleasantly surprised at the news that the actress is now back for the season 17 premiere.

As we’ve previously discussedNCIS is still keeping everything in regards to the season 17 premiere under a very heavy veil. There isn’t any news as of yet on the subject of where Ziva has been, what she’s been up to, or who she will even share screen-time with for much of the episode. They may release more information, but they’re probably not going to do until we get closer to the series’ September premiere, which makes sense since they want everyone to have it fresh in their minds that she’s going to be in the premiere – although to be fair it’s not like anyone is going to forget!
