MasterChef season 10 episode 9 preview: Will two home cooks go home?

Moving into MasterChef season 10 episode 9, it’s clear that the remaining home cooks have some reasons to be afraid. Think especially in terms of the blue team from tonight’s episode. At the end of the hour, they all found themselves in a position where they’re going to have to take on a little more pressure than ever before. There is going to be an epic showdown and at the end of it, two people could be eliminated. As for who is going to be able to handle it, a lot of it depends on whether or not someone mistakes a mistake.

Think of things at the moment in terms of a snowball effect. Once that snowball starts to go downhill, it can turn into an avalanche for a home cook — especially one who is not altogether familiar with some of the ingredients or technique at the center of the task.

For any of the home cooks who are in despair tomorrow night, we’d remind them of this: Few competition shows have the parity of this one. People who struggle at various times in challenges often find a way to emerge from them and go on to win. It takes a lot of determination and a lot of learning but they can find a way in order to make it happen. You just can’t get discouraged at any point along the way!

In terms of likability, there are a lot of directions that the show could go in terms of its contenders. These people still maintain what we’ve come to expect from this show ten seasons in — constant inspiration and talent. They’re exceptional at what they do and they’ve proven themselves to be positive influences for a larger number of people out there.
