Kate Gosselin fired from CouponCabin blogging gig in public letter
Ready for a surprise from the world of former TLC star Kate Gosselin? Only a matter of hours after we heard about her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live!” where she mentioned her CouponCabin gig, we have now learned that the bargain-hunting website has dismissed her from her duties as a blogger.
In a pretty bizarre move for the company to make, the company CEO in Scott Kluth chose to actually go on the site itself to explain the decision; and while he did not exactly divulge just what is the reason that Kate is no longer with the company, the suggestion here is pretty obvious that it was thanks to some sort of specific action or belief rather than her just merely being laid off for some more general reason:
“A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to built almost a decade ago, and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin … It’s with this that I am writing to inform you of our decision to discontinue Ms. Gosselin’s feature blog on CouponCabin.com.”
When it comes to the reason why she got this job to begin with, Kate has been a pretty avid supporter of using coupons as a way to help support her large family, especially since she relied on them heavily back before finding fame on television. She has not addressed the dismissal publicly as of yet, though she did post the following message Tuesday on her Twitter account:
“Good afternoon!I’m alive!I’ve been super busy working away!I’m having lots of fun and can’t wait to share! No worries..we will chat soon! XO”
What do you think about this sudden decision on CouponCabin’s part, and are you still on Team Kate? Stay tuned, since we figure there will be more information out there on this story soon.
