The Flash season 6 table read; Tom Felton’s Julian request
What does this news signal? That filming should be starting to get going in a big way in the days to come, and you gotta hope that the writers have some big plans for the cast over the next nine and half months or so. That’s roughly how long things go when you factor in all of the work both at the start and of production. Being superheroes is not an easy job! There’s a lot to take on this season, as well, with a new potential Big Bad, other new faces turning up, and also a showrunner in Eric Wallace coming on board. We’re also going to have a chance to see the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event coming … but we feel like we don’t have to tell you all that much about that.
What we do find especially amusing about the Instagram message from Grant is Tom Felton chiming in via the comments, asking if there is any word on Julian’s whereabouts. We think he’s just offering up a funny quip, but it is a reference to how abrupt his story ended/how bummed-out we were about it. We liked this character because he was a little bit surly and not your typical superhero TV person. We still didn’t even know that much about him, and his exit seemed mostly prompted by the team not knowing what else to do with him. That’s probably where some of that affection for Caitlin started to come in once his original part of the story faded away.
For the record, we’d love to see Julian come back for a few episodes, even though there are more characters at times on The Flash already than the show knows what to do with. Think about how there were times in season 5 where Caitlin and Cisco seemed almost sidelined and how Ralph would just vanish for stretches with just a small explanation.
