Queen of the South season 4 episode 5 preview: Teresa and Okana
Maybe in a thematic sense, Teresa and Independence Day go perfectly together. Think about who she is and the sort of stuff that she fights for! Also, think about how she’s also still seeking that independence from some of the louses and the terrors of this world — for this season, it’s some of the folks in New Orleans who line the streets with corruption as far as the eye can see. They’ve determined that if there is going to be a drug empire in their community, they’re going to find a way to monetize it.
For Teresa, this puts her in a position in episode 5 where she needs to keep looking around for new advantages. Can Oksana from Russia prove to be one of them? It’s possible in next week’s “Noche de Las Chicas.” A lot of times with Queen of the South episode titles, we tend to provide translations; this is one where such a thing really is not necessary.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Queen of the South season 4 episode 5 synopsis with some more news:
El Gordo introduces Teresa to Russian drug queenpin Oksana in the hopes of forging a partnership.
Here’s the risk with such a partnership: One side doing something to anger the other side. We think, on some level, that we’ve all seen how this metaphorical movie plays out time and time again already. You see someone try to kill someone else because they feel betrayed or they didn’t get some of their money in the right allotted time. This is a sequence of events that much could play out here without question.
