Criminal Minds season 15: See Joe Mantegna’s emotional note to fans
Based on everything that we’ve heard about Joe Mantegna on this series, he’s been a perfect colleague and then some. We’ve heard about his kindness and his generosity with some of his co-stars — as a matter of fact, we’ve heard many of these actors say so themselves.

Today, Mantegna took advantage of an opportunity in order to further pay this story forward. In a new message on Twitter (see below), the actor celebrates the family atmosphere of the show and how quickly he ended up feeling like a part of the series soon after arriving. You gotta remember here that Joe was not an original cast member, but came in fairly early on in its run (at least when you consider how long it has lasted) and served as a major stabilizing presence. He allowed everyone to feel a little more comfortable, and in turn, made the set a little bit better. The people at the top of the call sheet help to set the tone, and Joe found himself especially in that position over the course of the past few years.
So how is Rossi’s story going to end?
Well, let’s just say that it’s going to be emotional. It’s also going to be dangerous. Given that the guy just got married at the end of this past season, you would think that the top priority for him would be to kick back and relax. However, that’s not going to be altogether possible when you consider that Everett Lynch, the wicked UnSub from late in this past season, is still out there. This is a case that Rossi will take personally, and one that will challenge him and the BAU in ways that we haven’t seen before.
Given that this is the final season of the show, Criminal Minds will up the ante with a story that is more serialized, intense, and connected than ever before. In one way or another, all of the final ten episodes are going to matter.
