911 season 2 episode 18 (finale) spoilers: Is Buck’s life in danger?

Next week on 911 season 2 episode 18, things are going to get a little emotional. It’s hard for them not to be when you remember that this is the finale. All of the danger and all of the life-or-death crises of this series have come to this pivotal moment, one where there are some more dramatic rescues, something personal, and then also the possibility of a major character dying. Maybe in a lot of ways, this is yet another day at the office for these characters, but it’s not going to feel like that while watching.

As a matter of fact, we’re starting to think that one of the goals for the producers of 9-1-1 is to make us collectively as nervous as we can possibly be at all times. They’ve got a certain degree of bravery and guts to constantly throw you into these moments and then make you wait to find out what happens on the other side of them. Take, for example, with Chimney — we’ve got a hard time thinking that we’re going to be forgetting about that at any point within the near future.

The 118 responds to calls from a stunt driver caught in a hairy situation, a teenage social influencer who is bugging out and the city is on high alert after two mail bombs go off. Meanwhile, Eddie’s family comes to town and Buck faces a life or death situation in the all-new “This Life We Choose” season finale episode of 9-1-1 airing Monday, May 13 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Buck’s fate is obviously going to be the part of this that deserves top billing since you’re going to probably be spending a good bit of time thinking about whether or not the character makes it to a season 3. Yet, in the process of that, don’t forget about some of the other stuff, either! With the way that 9-1-1 is progressing at the moment, coupled of course with the way that they typically progress, we have a feeling that the show’s finale is going to contain one of the most intense, dramatic rescues that we’ve seen so far. There’s no reason to consider that it would be anything otherwise. (At least we know there’s already a season 3? Doesn’t that help to curb the anxiety?)

If there is going to be a cliffhanger at the end of this season, it’s probably fair to speculate that Buck is going to be the person that it’s the most about … just remember that there may be another person in danger that Fox isn’t even informing us about at the moment. Consider that a way to add to the suspense.
