‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Nina Dobrev promises more surprises

In just three days, “The Vampire Diaries” is going to be back with some all-new episodes. So with that in mind, doesn’t it feel right the perfect time to share a little bit more scoop courtesy of one of the show’s biggest stars in Nina Dobrev.

So how does the actress expect that viewers are going to react to the shocking behavior of Elena as vampire? Speaking to TV Guide, Dobrev makes it very clear that no one is really going to be able to see coming just some of what the once-innocent girl in Mystic Falls is going to be doing:

“Elena’s going to be very unpredictable … They’re definitely going to be a little bit confused by her actions and surprised. They are going to be very surprised by what she does.”

Dobrev also says that in many ways the show’s famous triangle is going to be back, as she is going to be dealing with the fact that Damon and Stefan Salvatore are each going to be able to help her go through some of her current struggles in some rather distinct (but also important) ways. Hopefully, by the end of the first few episodes of this season we will have a greater understanding of just what sort of vampire Elena will be, and whether or not she will differ from the villain that we have come to know as Katherine (who has been absent from Mystic Falls for almost a year now).
