SEAL Team season 2 episode 21 spoilers: David Boreanaz directs; details!

SEAL Team

SEAL Team season 2 episode 21, airing on Wednesday, May 8, is a critical one for a couple of different reasons. For starters, it makes the return of David Boreanaz to the director’s chair — he previously took on the role last season and certainly has done this job on some of his past shows, as well. It’s a chance to continue to flex some different muscles and have involvement in things behind-the-scenes. His shows have always been generous enough to recognize his talent there and allow him to step behind the camera for the gig.

Beyond just Boreanaz as a director, though, there is plenty else that is notable about ‘My Life For Yours” — after all, it is the penultimate episode of the season! SEAL Team will be off the air on May 15 due to the Survivor finale, and the finale is going to come beyond that on Wednesday, May 22. This is an episode that is hopefully going to tide you over for a while, and one that will also feature an emotional storyline for Neil Brown Jr.’s character of Ray. We’ve seen this guy struggle for most of the second half of this season — he’s having a crisis of faith, a struggle to recognize who he is, and he’s bonding with people who are separate from his own friends and family.

Now, he’s going to be detached from the rest of the team. This is a desperate situation and within this episode, Bravo Team will need to scramble to find a way to get him back and in one piece. For more information, just be sure to check out the official SEAL Team season 2 episode 21 synopsis below:

“My Life for Yours” – Bravo Team desperately searches for Ray after he gets separated from them while in enemy territory, on SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, May 8 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star David Boreanaz directed the episode.

This is another one of those grab-your-tissues episodes since you should certainly be worried about him; it could also be an episode that sets the stage for the finale. By the time at least the finale airs, there’s a reasonably good chance we’ll know about the show’s fate one way or another. We’re still doing our best to hope for a season 3! With the stories that SEAL Team is telling week after week, we know it to be an important, valuable addition to the lineup — and one we don’t want to see going anywhere.
