Criminal Minds season 15 spoilers: Parks & Recreation alum to appear
In a post on Instagram, Jim O’Heir (who you best know from playing Jerry/whatever else you want to call him on Parks and Recreation) recently spent some time working on the set, presumably in some sort of role that required him to wear a suit and tie. He is seen alongside Sharon Lawrence, who we first met in the season 14 episode “Chameleon” as Roberta Lynch, mother to presumably the final-season Big Bad Everett Lynch. Clearly, this suggests that Roberta’s story is far from over, and also that we will continue to see the Everett saga play out until at least close to the series finale.
Criminal Minds has undergone quite a strange journey to even make it here filming some of their final episodes. Through most of season 14, it was unclear to most viewers as to whether or not there would even be a final season. When CBS decided to finally pull the trigger and announce it, they chose to do so in a way that allowed them to film the final season through this winter and the spring. This was an effective tactic for them since it allows the cast to have that proper goodbye, and then also go and look for new work during the 2019-20 season, if that choose. Or, maybe they will all choose to take some sort of a break, which would absolutely be understandable based on how much time they’ve spent working to make it to this point. While not all of the current cast has been there for fifteen seasons, they’ve all be around long enough to understand the extremely long hours that go into making this show what it is. They recognize the value that the characters and this story has to viewers at home.

If you didn’t watch Parks and Recreation, there’s a good chance that you will remember O’Heir for a wide array of other television shows over the past couple of decades. This is a guy who has appeared in such shows as Just Shoot Me, Friends, Step by Step, Monk, Ellen, ER, Party of Five, Boston Legal, Dharma & Greg, Cold Case, and Without a Trace. We’re not sure how many other fantastic character actors have had anywhere near the sort of incredible career that O’Heir has. Criminal Minds is just yet another fantastic cake-topper for what is an incredible career.
