ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: More on Emily’s new ‘love interest’

Over the past season of “Revenge,” much of the story focused primarily on what was going on between Emily Thorne and two of the men that she was very much into: Jack and Daniel. As if this was not complicated enough, though, a third person is about to enter the picture is Barry Sloane’s character of Aidan.

Unfortunately, there is not too much in the way of details pertaining to who this character is just yet. Therefore, we turn to Emily VanCamp, who had the following to say recently to E! News about just who this man really is beyond just what we have seen from him during one scene in Japan:

“He has betrayed Emily at a certain point in her past, which you see, and then he comes back … She’s very resistant to have him back, but there’s still so much love there, and such a depth to their relationship and such an understanding that it’s really cool.”

How long will this character really be around? That much is still a mystery, but we anticipate him still being some sort of fixture at least when it comes to how Emily moves forward with some of her current plans. Remember, she has quite a bit on her plate at this very moment based on not just the return of Victoria to the Hamptons, but the revelation that she is also the person responsible for her mother going away.
