Magnum PI finale spoilers: Jordana Brewster returning + more

It’s not a joke — on Monday, April 1, the Magnum PI finale is going to be coming over to CBS. This is an episode entitled “The Day It All Came Together” and it’s going to be trying for Thomas Magnum. Why? Jordana Brewster is back, for starters, as Hannah … and she’s going to ask for a little bit of help. Magnum’s going to have to sort through his past feelings for her (plus, what actually happened) in order to determine whether or not he’s game to take on a new case.

Do we know that Magnum’s taken on cases for anyone and everyone under the sun? Sure, but they guy has some limits! Through this episode, some of these are likely going to be put to the test. Also, his physical limits probably will be as well.

The Magnum PI finale should be as action-packed and intense as they come and, beyond just that, it could contain a big story that sets the stage for season 2. Check out the synopsis below:

“The Day It All Came Together” – Hannah (guest star Jordana Brewster), Magnum’s ex and the fugitive responsible for him and his SEAL team brothers being POWs for years, shows up at his home with a gunshot wound, and wanting his help to find her missing CIA father whose life is in danger. Also, Magnum makes an earnest proposition to Higgins for her to become his private investigations partner, on the first season finale of MAGNUM P.I., Monday, April 1 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Brian Austin Green guest stars as Special Agent Adam Kreshner.

Could Magnum and Higgins work together as partners following the finale? You can make a case for it, but you can also make a case that they are kind of partners already in some capacity. We do think that the writers have figured out that the Magnum – Higgins dynamic is one of the best parts of the show; she teases him and pushes him at times, but you can also see that she very much cares about him. They understand each other and we imagine that some of the crazy schemes they’ve run have helped to bond them together.

The best thing entering the finale, though, is knowing that there’s more on the other side. It cultivates a little bit of looseness and allows the show to really set the stage more for what is coming on the other side. Season 2 could really be the chance for Magnum PI to really show all of its powers; season 1 built and improved more and more as it went along, and we just wish that it was actually going to run for 22 episodes. There’s still so much to learn about these people!
