Victoria season 3 finale video: What’s happening to Sophie?

Sunday night’s Victoria season 3 finale could contain some of the most lavish, spectacular scenes that you’ve had an opportunity to see on the series — how else would you describe a story that is bringing you the Great Exhibition? It’s an important chapter in the history of Britain and a sterling opportunity for some of the greatest minds in all the world to convene in one place. Victoria can do her best to build new relationships, while also ensuring that Great Britain is on top of the world insofar as innovation goes.

As grand and lavish as the Exhibition may be, however, the sneak peek below showcases that there are other issues that bear the Queen’s attention first. That includes the status of Sophie, who is in the midst of a troubling situation. While Victoria is doing her best to plan for the Exhibition, Abigail arrives in order to inform her that there are some troubles at Monmouth House — it is her belief that Sophie has been confined to her room. Why? She may be insane — or at least that is the story. Victoria doesn’t buy it, and she wishes to speak with the Duke right away about her condition.

This is the central struggle for Victoria now — we think that the Great Exhibition will remain important, but helping Sophie is something that can be done on the road to that. We anticipate during this episode that there will be some tense conversations and emotional scenes — Victoria is set within a world of stubbornness, and also an unfortunate time in which powerful people use their status in order to manipulate and control others. If Sophie’s status is a consequence of someone else’s control, then that is something that the Queen can put a stop to … or at least try to.

Clearly, there will be a wonderful buffet of content to be able to view and enjoy within this episode. The starting-off point here, at least in terms of promotion, is the Exhibition — but there will be so much other content that fills in the cracks. Beyond the sneak peek below, you can also view a promo that offers up a more comprehensive view at some of what lies within this episode — there will be drama, relationships will be tested, and through it all, the Queen will make her grand showcase and debut the Exhibition to the world.

Amidst all of this, there is still a concern we have from a meta standpoint that this could be the final episode of Victoria as a whole. The series’ fate beyond the finale remains clear; as a matter of fact, viewers in the UK have not even had a chance to see this episode just yet! It adds a few more clouds to what is already a situation without a clear resolution.
