Claws season 3 promo: Desna’s ready to keep going
The comparisons between the Niecy Nash series and Breaking Bad have to be clear at this point — both series are all about someone with a seemingly-ordinary job who discovers power and uses that to try and build an empire. The main difference is that Desna has more of an established crew around her compared to Walter White, and that Desna has many more comedic moments. This is a show that does bring quite a bit to the table. You’ve got a generous dose of drama, but this is also a really funny show with unique characters and a bright, colorful set.
The season 2 finale brought us a pretty-epic cliffhanger in Virginia being shot shortly after Desna found herself in high-roller territory courtesy of a new casino. Is she going to be okay? That’s one important question, with the other major one being who in the world shot her. These are things that we imagine will be at least addressed pretty early on in the new season. Whether or not they are fully resolved is an entering different story, but we’re hoping for at least a chance to see the show take them on a little bit further.
Through two seasons, Claws did establish itself as one of the most-important programs across TNT’s entire roster, one that did a great job of bringing a lot of drama to the table and also one with an impactful, emotional brand of storytelling. While the world itself was sometimes exaggerated, the stories themselves remain real and personal. These are people who manage to showcase a lot of what is going on in the real world and the show is able to get some tremendous acclaim on the basis of that.
When will Claws season 3 premiere on TNT?
At the moment, there is no firm confirmation on that. With that being said, we do firmly anticipate that we’re going to have a chance to see a little bit more of this show come late May or early June — like with another TNT series in Animal Kingdom, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for the network to wait longer than that. Why would they, when you are talking about one of the biggest series that exists out there for them? With these shows, it’s important to strike while the iron is hot.
