Death in Paradise season 8 episode 7 preview: A radio legend is murdered!
Don’t get us wrong — we do like it when Death in Paradise shakes things up and allows us opportunities to see some longer storylines. Yet, the show’s bread and butter is having there be a new murder every week while we wait and see if the folks in Saint Marie can solve it. What’s remarkable is that there’s often a sort of notoriety to many of these victims, whether it be a TV host earlier this season or one of the people responsible for running the local zoo.
This time around, we’re looking towards a legendary radio DJ. This is shocking, but the only thing that is more shocking is precisely how the murder happens. For some more news on that, be sure to check out the official Death in Paradise season 8 episode 7 synopsis below:
Saint Marie mourns when radio legend Dezzie Dixon is murdered live on air, and Jack must unravel a complex mystery to find the culprit.
This episode is going to be super-fascinating, given that we’re talking about an incredibly-meaty mystery with a lot of interesting twists and turns throughout. We think that there is so much to love about this sort of mystery since you have to connect the dots. One of the first questions we have is rather simple: Why didn’t anyone hear the murder as it was happening? Was there no one else at the station? Also, why commit the crime in the middle of a broadcast? To us, that suggests a sense of urgency since you’re running the risk that the DJ says your name or does something else dramatic on the air while you’re in the process of the murder. Basically, you’re putting yourself in so much more danger than needed. Why not just wait until they’re done … unless there was no other time to do?
We’re obviously operating on very limited information here, so we’ll leave the final responsibility of solving the murder to Jack. We just hope that this mystery ends up living up to some of the initial expectations that we’ve got for it on paper. This has the potential to be one that leaves you guessing until the closing minutes.
