‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: More on a ‘True Blood’ star’s visit
If you have visited this page recently, then you already know that “How I Met Your Mother” is bringing back Joe Manganiello to reprise his old role as Brad, Marshall’s former law school buddy from some of the earlier seasons of the show. Of course, much has changed in Manganiello’s life since he last appeared in 2009; he is now a rising star thanks to his roles on “True Blood” and in the movie “Magic Mike,” and is sought-after for guest-starring roles across the board. Plus, he’s also grown some long hair and a beard that you don’t see in the photo to the left.
So what is going to bring the actor back to the world of Ted Mosby and company. Sadly, he won’t helping to answer the eternal “who is the mother?” question; rather, E! News reports that many of our suspicions were correct, and he will be battling it out with Marshall in court in a case that was first teased last season when Jason Segel’s character refused to allow a bad settlement to happen. We have a feeling that he is going to be facing an uphill battle here; the environment does not have much in the way of a voice; meanwhile, Brad will be working in prat to represent a corporation that not only has a voice, but also a clearly-defined plan of attack. Then again, it’s hard to have sympathy for Marshal given that this is what he wanted. Now, he just has to deliver.
This story coming up should really help to divert from what is going to be a pretty tough month when it comes to relationships. We last Monday night that Barney and Quinn are no more, and we know and some point by the start of next month that both Ted and Victoria and Robin and Nick are also going to be at an end. These sort of storylines are what help up maintain a sense of balance for the show as a whole, and thus are extremely important from a comedy standpoint.
Are you happy to see Manganiello back?
