America’s Got Talent finale rankings: Will Darci Lynne, Shin Lim, or Susan Boyle win?

America's Got Talent: The Champions

The America’s Got Talent: The Champions finale is set to kick off on Monday, so why not take a look at our rankings for all twelve finalists now?

New video – Check out some more thoughts on the finale below! Meanwhile, remember to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for more updates on the series, and be sure to check out our official series playlist.

Below, you can take a look at where we think the finalists stack up, and we’re basing this on a few factors — performance quality, past trajectory on shows like this, and whether or not the act has the global notoriety to represent the brand. We do think that the latter matters since there probably needs to be a winner a lot of people are happy with?

12. Kechi – We just don’t see what her path is to victory. We were admittedly surprised that she got the Golden Buzzer in the first place. She’s talented, but there are too many singers.

11. Deadly Games – We love them and always have, but we’re at the same time super-cognizant that danger acts like this never really stand too much of a chance. The Golden Buzzer was really their victory.

10. Cristina Ramos – She’s incredibly unique, but a part of her advancing the first time around may have been the surprise factor for US viewers.

9. Jon Dorenbos – He’s a good magician, but the problem is that he’s up in the finale against a legendary one.

8. Brian Justin Crum – He’s the most underrated singer of the punch — he may actually have the best overall voice — but sometimes with this show, that doesn’t matter. You often need something more.

7. Kseniya Simonova – She’s a sand artist and what she does is so beautiful and unique. We just wish that there was a real path that we could see a sand artist winning. She’s a serious darkhorse, but we also do love her on this show.

6. Angelica Hale – Great young singer, but she’s also up against a huge field. She did improve a lot between her first and second season, so who knows what happens if she can take another leap moving forward?

5. Darci Lynne – She’s a wild-card, so despite her obvious talent we can’t really rank her higher than this; yet, she was our pick to win the whole season the moment we knew the official cast.

4. Preacher Lawson – Extremely funny. His first set this season was the funniest thing we’ve ever seen from him on the show. Super unique material and a great delivery.

3. Paul Potts – You can’t sleep on an opera singer who can do the things that Paul does — he’s almost the original Got Talent super-success story and maybe he gets rewarded on that.

2. Shin Lim – He does benefit from being in a finale with a lot of singers, so he should stand out a little bit more. He’s also exceptional at what he brings to the table.

1. Susan Boyle – Maybe she won’t win, but if you’re measuring this show on the basis of star power alone, it’s hard to have her anywhere other than #1. She is an icon for this franchise.
