‘Jersey Shore’ season 6 spoilers: A change for Vinny Guadagnino

Are we going to be seeing a very different side to a certain cast member on “Jersey Shore” this coming season? Based on what we are hearing at this very moment, it sure seems like as Vinny Guadagnino is going to try and focus himself on a little bit more than just picking up women.

Speaking out in a new interview that was published with the New York Daily News, here is what Vinny, who is one of the only remaining cast members not in a long-term relationship alongside Pauly D and possibly Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (depending on how things work out with Paula this season), had to say:

“Sometimes you just need a change … We spent all five seasons doing one thing, and that was just girls, girls, girls.

“So I got to a point where I wanted to see what else is there in life … I don’t want to get my mind clouded by sex. So I was kind of like, let’s see if there’s more out there and if I can be something else other than a [guy who sleeps with everyone].”

We already know that this season of “Jersey Shore” is going to be much different in that there will be less drinking; as a matter of fact, it does not seem as though The Situation and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi will be drinking at all. So in between that and Vinny’s new vow of celibacy (which he will apparently announce in the second episode of the new season), we are going to be seeing a completely different side to some of these people that we have come to know and love for being one way over the course of the show’s run. In a way, it’s a sort of audition for the rest of their lives, even if we are not sure that it will make for the same sort of crazy entertainment that we have come to know on the show over the past several years.
