Celebrity Big Brother 2 episode 5 review: Tamar – Lolo drama; new HoH

Lolo Jones

Entering tonight’s Celebrity Big Brother 2 episode 5, admittedly what we were the most curious about was the argument. We had Lolo Jones in one corner and then Tamar Braxton and the other. There were a ton of headlines over this argument on Saturday, really to the point where some publications ran some super-misleading stories suggesting that someone could have been kicked out. (Obviously, this was not actually the case.)

Before we get around to that point, though, let’s touch on some other noteworthy news from this episode. For starters, we saw Kato Kaelin win the Head of Household Competition — a super-impressive feat given the fact that the guy is so much older than some other houseguests and not an Olympian. His targets weren’t all that hard to figure out — especially Dina Lohan, who didn’t need to be altogether i

As for the argument itself, we think that this was the fault of both participants — Tamar has a tendency to wake everyone up in the middle of the night for drama in the house, but she also has a reason to have some distrust in some other people in the house. After all, Lolo and Natalie have been keeping information from her. Lolo also has a short fuse, and that’s been fairly well-documented within the game. We actually think that the show down-played just how messy this fight was, given that at one point, it was incredibly messy in the house. This only gave you a small piece of the overall puzzle, but in the end, Lolo apologized to Tamar for blowing up on her — which she claims that she did for the sanity of the house.

Finally, the nominations

Kato decided to nominate both Dina and Tamar for eviction — his plan is to go after a larger threat down the road, but he is not in any hurry to do that at this particular moment in time. This is more about preparing for the Veto Competition tomorrow than anything else. Neither Tamar or Dina are significant threats to win it based on what we’ve seen so far, so this could ultimately just come down to what we see with the other people who end up taking part. (For Ryan, he just better hope that he has a chance to compete.)
