America’s Got Talent: The Champions video: Tape Face & Terry Crews

On Monday night’s new episode of America’s Got Talent: The Champions, you are going to have a chance to see the return of our beloved Tape Face. He is one of the most-memorable contestants in the history of the series and beyond just that, he is also one of the most successful after the series. This is a case of his uniqueness being his biggest strength. There’s something about just how he works that is brilliant — he finds a way to make something out of nothing, no matter the situation.

In the video below, you can see in full Tape Face’s new act, one that includes turning Howie Mandel into a DJ and then also having Terry Crews put on a striptease while he judges him in the audience. What’s so fun about this is that Tape Face, apparently, also has his own Golden Buzzer. Tape Face’s act is dependent in some ways on his participants being game but luckily, they are. This is really the first occasion in which we’ve seen Terry be super-interactive with some of the acts but the good news is that it works and then some — it’s fun!

In general, Tape Face should advance just because he offers something that you don’t really see just about anywhere else. We know that there are a lot of great singers and dancers in this competition, but there really isn’t anyone else quite like him. We just have to wait and see whether or not the judges give him a Golden Buzzer … or if the panel of super-fans finds a way to advance him through to the next round.

Ultimately, though, Tape Face is a lot like Piff the Magic Dragon in that regardless of what happens to him on this show, he’s going to be more than fine on the other side. This is not a second chance for him; he’s already gotten his dream come true and then some. With his own room in Las Vegas and a great showcase of his talent there, this is more than anything just a chance for him to get an added dose of publicity from a show that helped to break him big.
