Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 11 sneak peek: Catherine, Danny arrive

Hawaii Five-0

After a hiatus for the next couple of weeks, Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 11 is going to come on the air on Friday, January 4. What can you expect to see over the course of it? Well, think along the lines of a team-up of heroes almost like no other we’ve seen.

One of the comparisons that we’ve heard when it comes to this episode is The Expendables, and the sneak peek below does a pretty good job of indicating precisely why that is the case. At the start of the episode, you’re going to be seeing Steve McGarrett in mourning and for a pretty-good reason — after all, we just lost one of the show’s best recurring characters in Joe, someone who was a father figure for Steve and someone he cared about immensely. That’s not going to be a particularly-easy person to replace in his life; he probably will never be able to.

Yet, at least Steve can call on some friends, new and old, to help him avenge Joe and make sure that justice is served. He’s joined, first and foremost, by two of his Five-0 associates in Danny Williams (back after being MIA from the fall finale) as well as Junior Reigns. Meanwhile, Catherine Rollins is also back to lend a helping hand, as is a very old friend of Steve’s in Wade Gutches, who hasn’t been on the show in quite some time. The character is retired, but this particular mission is enough to bring him back out into the field of play.

Just in case seeing all of these characters wasn’t enough for you, also know this — you’re going to have a chance to eventually see Chris Vance as Harry Langford, as well! This episode is really made possible by the wide array of guest stars that have appeared on the series over the years, and also the ability to get so many of them to come back at one time. It’s one of the more personal episodes of Hawaii Five-0 to date, but amidst the emotional component to it there will also be plenty of action, as well. There’s a lot to be psyched about here and we’re hoping that there is a chance for some peace once we get to the other side of it.
