Is SEAL Team new tonight on CBS? What’s next on season 2
There is no new episode of the David Boreanaz drama coming up later tonight, which is largely just a function of the fact that you are getting the Survivor finale instead. That means no repeat airing, either. The show will return early next year with new episodes, so at least you can know that you won’t be forced to wait altogether long in order to figure out precisely what is coming up next for Jason and the rest of the team.
At the moment, what we are expecting is a great deal of what we loved about the show in the first place — action and military tactics mixed with personal drama. We’ve got a good bit of angst going on at the moment with some characters, most recently Clay, and we imagine that this is still going to be a part of the show moving forward. Yet, it does seem like Jason is doing slightly better now in the wake of losing Alana and as the show presses onward, he may be able to heal some of the emotional holes that are in his heart. He’s got his kids and they will always be a part of the heartbeat of who he is.
Meanwhile, for the team itself the show will be taking on a new mission — one that you can check out over at the link here. The struggle with Andres Doza is over and because of that, we’re actually going to get a chance now to see the series start to push forward to a different chapter in a different part of the world. A part of what makes SEAL Team successful as a show is that you are getting so many different iterations of what makes a SEAL the person that they are. It’s not about one particular mission or rescue. Instead, it’s a wide array of different actions and responsibilities that they take on time and time again. We know that we’re gearing up for a big, dramatic batch of episodes and we’re really just hoping that we’ll have a chance to see some more big twists and turns along the way.
Of course, we’ll be sharing more updates as the season goes along — expect some episodes in January, but then a big break before the show returns in March at a new timeslot in 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.
