Legends of Tomorrow season 4, Arrow post season-high ratings
Last night’s part 2 of the Elseworlds crossover event, which was technically the Arrow component of it and therefore featured many of the actors from that show, ended up posting overall a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That allowed the show to have its highest rating of the entire season, which really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The crossovers have a tendency to constantly bring in better numbers, mostly due to the fact that there is a shared audience from all three of the superhero shows all tuning in at once. This offers up some more hope for the future, not that we really had any reason to doubt it, though.
The larger question that we are left to wonder at the moment is whether or not we are ever going to have a chance to see the Crisis on Infinite Earths event that so many are already speculating / discussing. Whenever that event happens, all signs point to it being the culmination of everything that we’ve had a chance to see with the Arrowverse. It’s a little hard to fathom it coming within the immediate future, but we certainly do think that it’s something that they are carefully planning for.
Remember that the final part of Elseworlds airs on The CW tonight, and you can head over to the link here in the event you want a sneak peek for what to expect.
Great Legends of Tomorrow news!
Likely buoyed in part by the success of Elseworlds, last night’s incredible “Legends of To-Meow-Meow” ended up drawing a season-high 0.4 rating in the demo alongside more than 1.11 million viewers. This is the first time all season that more than 1 million live viewers tuned in to check the superhero mash-up series out.
While we’ve long had some worry over the future of Legends of Tomorrow, at the same time we certainly feel like the show’s ratings are still good enough for it to get a season 5 down the line. Not only is it performing better than some of the newer shows on The CW, but it is also the most-recorded show on the network, proportional at least to its audience. There are a ton of people checking out the Legends weekly and while we do wish more of them were doing so live, it’s still nice to know that the series itself remains every bit as popular as it’s ever been.
The sad news with Legends of Tomorrow is mostly that the series isn’t going to return until later this spring; with that, we’ve gotta wait a really long time in order to figure out what’s next.
