Is Last Man Standing new tonight? The latest Tim Allen interview

Last Man Standing

Is Last Man Standing new tonight on Fox? It feels like tonight would be a great opportunity to tell a Black Friday story or do something else fun post-Thanksgiving. (Granted, we could say that it’s perfect timing for a new Last Man Standing any week out of the year.)

Unfortunately, though, a new episode tonight just isn’t happening. The plan’s been for a while that Last Man Standing would take this week off, and following that, there’s not going to be a new episode on November 30, either. The series will return on December 7, and that is the first of two new installments that are airing during that month. (If you missed it, head over to the link here to get some more news about the Christmas episode, which is going to feature a return appearance from Kaitlyn Dever a.k.a. Eve.) There are plenty more coming in the new year, as Last Man Standing has a full-season order of 22. Even by the end of this year, we’re not even going to be at the halfway point just yet when it comes to the show’s run! To date, Fox has to be rather thrilled given that the ratings have been very impressive every week the show’s been on the air — routinely, it’s been the #1 show on Friday night, and one of the top-rated network TV comedies as a whole.

Just in case you do want a little more news regarding the show’s star in Tim Allen, we suggest that you check out his recent interview below from The Tonight Show. While there, he discussed with Jimmy Fallon how the series was cancelled inexplicably from ABC, how he tried to keep it alive even after it ended, and then also working with Jay Leno. Allen’s been doing standup comedy throughout the year in addition to his Last Man Standing gig, making him one of the busiest guys out there. (Leno comes up in this discussion, mostly because he’s notorious for traveling around and doing as many different standup gigs as possible. It’s just a part of his DNA.)

While the Last Man Standing part of Tim’s Tonight Show interview is short, it does still give you a good sense of his appreciation for the show — and that they got the majority of the audience back. The only longtime cast member who did not return is Molly Ephraim; Molly McCook took over the role of Mandy at the start of the season.
