The Flash season 5 episode 7 preview: Weather Witch + Thanksgiving!

This episode is going to give you a chance in order to see for the first time Weather Witch, the daughter of Weather Wizard. Most of this season has been around a father and daughter in Barry and Nora. With that in mind, it only makes a little bit of sense for the show to continue the theme in some other places. As for whether or not this theme is being pushed a little bit too much, that’s up for debate. After all, we’ve also had Caitlin’s father tonight and, before that Cicada and his own daughter. This theme is basically being pushed all over the place.

THANKSGIVING – While Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) grapples with unresolved anger over her father’s disappearance in the future, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash must stop a powerful new meta, Weather Witch (guest star Reina Hardesty), from killing her own father, Weather Wizard (guest star Liam Mcintyre). Sarah Boyd directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#507). Original airdate 11/27/2018.
This episode is going to hopefully be fun, mostly in that it offers us a chance to see the holiday as presented through the show’s lens. While very few of these people outside of the West-Allen family are technically related, this is a big, metaphorical family of people who do very much love each other. This is a rare opportunity in order to see them happy … even if it’s just for a few minutes.
As for what else we’re getting coming up, it’s going to be fun to get Weather Wizard back in the fold, especially since he typically is a villain on this show and here, he could be more of a victim. This episode marks basically an opportunity to see a character presented in a new light and there is something rather fascinating that could come about with that. (Also, Liam Mcintyre is always more than welcome to return — it really does not happen all that often.)
