Blue Bloods season 9 episode 9 return date for Donnie Wahlberg, cast
Unfortunately, there is no new installment of the CBS – Donnie Wahlberg series next week, with the largest reason for that being that it’s Black Friday and the network, understandably, doesn’t want to program a whole lot on that particular night. Why run the risk of losing viewers? Typically, by the end of Black Friday most people are passed out after spending all day in various lineups squabbling over electronics or toys.
Anyhow, the next new episode is officially going to be coming to the network on Friday, November 30, with the title here being “Handcuffs.” It may be an episode all about past arrests and complicated relationships, at least based on the synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:
“Handcuffs” – When a video surfaces of cops being harassed by a group of people at a housing complex, Frank orders a raid to round up anyone with an outstanding warrant, against Garrett’s (Gregory Jbara) advice. Also, Danny is approached by a woman he put in jail who asks for his help keeping her brother out of trouble, and Nicky’s new boyfriend has ulterior motives, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
So why is Garrett so hesitant to not arrest so many people? Well, it could have a thing or two to do with unrest — or, it could just be tied to some sort of other experience that he has out on the job. Hopefully, one way or another, this does mark an opportunity to get to know the Garrett character a little bit better.
As for some of the other stories that are coming up, we’re imagining that with the Danny storyline we’re going to get a chance to touch on some of his own past — and also maybe a window into the prison system. This woman he put in jail may be looking for her brother to avoid the same fate — from the inside, after all, she understands precisely how terrible things are in a way that he clearly would not. Meanwhile, it does make a certain degree of sense to give us a Nicky storyline just because those have been so few and far between; since Sami Gayle is a series regular, why not try to find some ways in order to use her?
