MacGyver season 3 episode 6 preview: A journey into Murdoc’s past

Want to know what lies ahead on MacGyver season 3 episode 6? Well, much of it begins with getting a chance to learn more about Murdoc. He’s the series’ central villain, and he’s always down to cause a little bit of mayhem. Yet, he’s also got a softer side based on some of his backstory; most notably, he’s a father, and his son is the one person he would do anything to help.

So what happens when Murdoc’s son gets taken? Well, that’s when Murdoc starts to get a little bit desperate. He finds a way to ensure that Mac works with him in order to get his son back by taking someone who means quite a bit to him — his girlfriend Nasha. The MacGyver season 3 episode 6 synopsis below offers up some more information as to what lies ahead:

“Murdoc + MacGyver + Murdoc” – Murdoc abducts MacGyver’s girlfriend, Nasha (Sibongile Mlambo), to force Mac to help him rescue his son, Cassian (Brady Bond), from a kidnapper. Also, a dangerous individual from Murdoc’s personal life shows up, giving Mac a glimpse into the villain’s past, on MACGYVER, Friday, Nov. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Throughout this episode, we imagine that there’s going to be quite a push-and-pull between Mac and Murdoc; we hardly envision them becoming friends, but this is one of those unique positions where there needs to be some cooperation there. The tension is amplified by the mysterious arrival from Murdoc’s past and what they could mean for this particular mission. Are they there to help, or to simply find a way to cause a little bit more trouble? We’re hopefully going to get a clearer answer to that over time.

As someone who loves Lucas Till and David Dastmalchian working together, this episode feels like a feast for the senses.
