Bull season 3 episode 5 sneak peek: The troubled case of Brian Harper
In the sneak peek below, you can get a small sense as to what is exactly coming, and the spotlight that is being put on Harper. He is a successful, mild-mannered man who finds himself accused of an absolutely-heinous crime: The execution-style killing of a heroin dealer in the Bronx.
Soon after Bull meets Dr. Harper, it probably starts to become even clearer how he couldn’t be guilty of such a thing — this is really not the sort of thing that suits his personality. He claims he hasn’t been to the Bronx in a good ten years, and then beyond that, he also claims he wouldn’t recognize heroin if it was directly in front of him.

So why is he being accused of this sort of criminal offense then? It really just comes down to one simple thing here: Evidence, and there is quite a bit of it that he is actually responsible for what happened here. The evidence includes DNA of Harper at the scene that is a 100% match for him; yet, he claims that he was at home with his wife at the time of the incident. Could the doctor be in two different places at once? Unless he could teleport, unlikely; unfortunately for him, it’s likely that the prosecutors are going to buy the DNA evidence more so than the testimony from his wife, who is not exactly the most reliable witness in the known world given her relationship to him.
Basically, the idea at the center of this case for Bull is to ensure that the jury believes in Dr. Harper, and doesn’t think that it is possible he could do some of what he’s accused of here. We certainly want to believe him also! This just feels like a situation where it’s going to take a lot of work, and maybe a little more evidence.
