Arrow season 7 episode 2 preview: Will Felicity find Diaz?

Following tonight’s premiere, what’s going to be coming up on Arrow season 7 episode 2? The title for this episode is “The Longbow Hunters” and with that in mind, there’s a lot to expect. These characters may be some of the central villains for this upcoming season, and there’s of course also Ricardo Diaz still out there somewhere. With Kirk Acevedo being promoted to series regular, we do think that this character means business in a way that we haven’t fully seen just yet. He already has a longstanding grudge against Oliver Queen, but there’s also a further thirst for revenge that is probably going to come out of what happened to his operation last season.

In one way or another, everyone is going to pick up the pieces — and Felicity will make it a personal mission to try to find Diaz in a way she hasn’t before.

FELICITY IS DETERMINED TO FIND DIAZ AT ANY COST – In order to track down Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) from inside prison, Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes that will require aligning with an old enemy. Meanwhile, in Star City, Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) attempts to root out Diaz are thwarted by Diggle (David Ramsey), whose allegiance to ARGUS now requires him to keep civilians like her on the outs. Realizing that she can no longer rely on her old team or old methods, a clear-eyed Felicity resolves to find a new way to go after Diaz. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Jill Blankenship & Rebecca Bellotto (#702). Original airdate 10/22/2018.

This episode marks a chance for Emily Bett Rickards to have a little bit of a showcase, and that’s important given that she may be one of the most proactive characters on the series right now. She’s someone with the capacity and the ability to take down many bad people, but she doesn’t have the manpower or the resources she did. She’s being tested, and that is a theme for much of this season overall — tests.
