‘Shiptober 2018 results: Outlander, Hawaii Five-0, The Flash, Shadowhunters ‘ships advance!
Just under an hour ago (at the time of this writing), voting closed on all of the round one showdowns at CarterMatt! The results are already tabulated/verified, and you can see all of the advancing duos in the image above! The second round begins tomorrow, as Jamie & Claire of Outlander will face off against Ross & Demelza of Poldark. One duo will move forward from there to round three, and then the cycle continues.
Want some other fun facts from round 1? Then continue on…
–Outlander is the only show to have two entrants in the second round.
-Despite having multiple entries in the first round, there are no One Chicago ‘ships that moved on to round 2.
-There are multiple Arrowverse entries moving forward, including one for every show in Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow.
-Voters’ most-popular ‘ship in round 1 was WestAllen from The Flash. As for whether or not that remains the same in round 2, that’s entirely up to voters! They had one of the most contentious showdowns of the first round, as Steve/Catherine of Hawaii Five-0 ended up putting up a great fight.
-There is tremendous LGTBQ ‘ship representation in round 2, with Supercorp, Wayhaught, Malec, Avalance, and McDanno all moving forward to the next round.
-Of the shows still represented, two in Timeless and Shadowhunters need some extra love and support to keep them on the air.
This has been a really fun tournament so far, and thanks to everyone for voting! I’m excited to see what happens here in round 2. Voting for the next round will conclude on October 21, so once things get started, there will be plenty of time to pick some of your favorites.
