A Take Two season 2 decision could be coming shortly
At the moment, it’s not entirely clear whether or not a Take Two season 2 renewal is going to happen. Yet, we’ve tried to be reasonably optimistic over it. While the ratings at ABC have not been fantastic, we do know that there is a passionate social-media audience for the show and it feels like there’s a good bit of potential here for further streaming success.
So what do we know at the moment? Per a report from TVLine, a decision could be made on the Rachel Bilson – Eddie Cibrian series could be coming at the middle of the month. Clearly, there are some parties at the network who do not want to make you wait all that long, and we understand that given that we don’t want to wait all that time for answers, either. We just hope that it’s good news. (Technically, the network can probably only wait so long to make a decision because there are contracts and such that are expiring. Basically, there’s a lot to be sorted out here.)
Our feeling, personally, is that come Halloween, everything should be decided.
If ABC does cancel it, could it end up somewhere else? It’s possible in theory, but we do think that this network is the best possible place for it given the investment that is there. Also, with the season 1 ratings being what they are it’s going to be rather-hard to find another major network who will jump on board. This is one of those shows that actually feels like it would work better on network TV than a major streaming outlet, mostly because of the fact that there’s something fun about sitting down and watching a new episode every week at the end of a long day. It’s perfect escapism in that way.
