Outlander season 4: See the New York Comic-Con – Fraser’s Ridge display

We’ve said before that Outlander is going big with their display at New York Comic-Con; now, we have photographic proof of it.

Thanks to a new post via the official Starz account for the series (which we have for you to see below), you can see various elements of the show’s epic take on Fraser’s Ridge for the convention. The intention here is to take you back to the New World prior to the start of the American Revolution — basically, the time period in which the series is set. This is a fun recreation that is meant to give convention attendees a small taste of what will be coming when the series returns to Starz come November 4.

Is this an effective promotional tool for the new season? We certainly do think that it’s got a lot going for it in between the props, the set, and the opportunity for convention-goers to get a souvenir to take home with them. Clearly, Starz sees some marketing effectiveness in these sort of displays, given that this is not the first time that they have done something like this. Back in season 3, there was a replicated Print Shop for a number of events.

(Side note: We do really like the “brave the new world” shirts that the team is wearing at the event — clearly, the marketing team wants that slogan out there)

This entire display is a rather-nice prelude to later this weekend, which is when Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, and Sophie Skelton will take part in a panel discussion alongside executive producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis. There is also a PaleyFest panel coming on Friday night, and we imagine some convention interviews will also pop up here and there along the way.
