Suits season 8: The latest on the future, Jessica spin-off series
With that being said, we do at least know this — it’s not the plan for it to be the last at the moment. That’s something that show creator Aaron Korsh noted on Twitter over the past few days. There was some reaction to a tweet that he posted before the midseason finale, one that made people believe that the series was going to be ending. (See below.)
There were some people asking questions about the end of the show because of that, and Korsh took that moment to clarify that what he was really talking about is here: We’re getting at least closer to the end of the run. That doesn’t mean per se that it’s over now. USA has not announced a renewal one way or another, but we at least feel cautiously optimistic that there could be more. The ratings are at least solid for season 8, and creatively, to date it has been very satisfying.
At the very least, we know that there are at least six more episodes coming on the air starting in early 2019.

There is one more important thing that Korsh noted previously on the subject of the Gina Torres-led spin-off series — apparently, Suits: Second City is no longer the name of it. We kind of liked that name because of all of the double meanings in there; yet, it may have also been somewhat confusing because of the comedy troupe of the same name. (That’s just our own speculation.) This spin-off will likely premiere at some point in the new year.
