Gotham season 5 episode 7 may be huge Jeremiah story in ‘Ace Chemicals’
In a new post on Twitter via Tze Chun (the episode’s writer), it was revealed that “Ace Chemicals” is the official name for this particular installment. This is incredibly important when you think about the fact that Ace Chemicals is the famed setting of where the Joker got his trademark green hair and white face in at least one iteration of the comics. Add to this some of Chun’s emoji’s in the tweet, it’s clear that the series has some enormous plans for how they want to use Ace Chemicals in their own particular story.
We don’t necessarily think that Gotham is planning to do the same exact thing as the comics, largely because following along the comics note-by-note has never been a top priority for this show. With that, our expectation is that the producers are going to give you something that is awesome and memorable, but also have something that is Gotham in its own way. This is a show that does want to be unique, rather than just trying to copy note for note everything that we’ve had a chance to see/read before in the past.
Ultimately, in the show’s writers we trust them to deliver something awesome — one of the best things they have going for them anytime that they bring out Jeremiah is Cameron Monaghan as the actor playing him. He is sensational, especially since we’ve seen him excel both as Jeremiah and his demented (and now dead) brother Jerome.
The biggest bummer of all here is having to wait until the new year in order to actually see this story in action.
