Ink Master season 11 episode 4 sneak peek: The Grudge Match challenge
If you look below, CarterMatt has a sneak peek from what lies ahead as Christian Buckingham and Cleen Rock One do battle in what is going to be a showdown of two of the greatest artists that we’ve seen on the series. The challenge the two of them face here is this: Trying to figure out a way in which to do some tattoos in a very short period of time. Not only that, but each one of them had got to pick the style and subject of one. It was a unique opportunity for the two parties to show off some of their creativity and also some of their strategic chops. There is a strong strategy component that goes along with this challenge, since you want to trip up your opponent with something they may not be good at.
Christian and Cleen both probably have plenty of knowledge when it comes to their opponents. They have competed together, and to go along with that they also have worked in relative proximity to each other. They know each other’s work backwards and forwards and they clearly know what’s at stake here. The winner here gets an opportunity to screw over the other team in the Elimination Challenge, and since we’ve seen each team lose somebody so far, both coaches don’t want to lose anyone else. This is an opportunity for one group of artists to take a little bit of control and establish some momentum as we start to inch forward.
