Hawaii Five-0 season 9: See Alex O’Loughlin, others celebrate 200th episode!
If you look below via Twitter, you can see much of the cast together in front of an enormous cake in commemoration of the honor. There are two things that surprise us about this immediately: That the cake hasn’t melted entirely while out in the heat, and that Ian Anthony Dale has a pretty awesome mustache going on here. It’s also nice to see him back on set again after doing his work on Salvation! He certainly has the craziest schedule out of anyone given that he’s been juggling two different shows for more than a year now.
(For those wondering, we’re not reading too much into Scott Caan not being there for this particular picture. We know he’s around this season, after all. It was confirmed by Meaghan Rath that he simply had to catch a flight.)

Ultimately, the 200th episode of Hawaii Five-0 is airing later this fall, and early indications suggest that it’s going to be a big celebration. We imagine that there are going to be nods to the first eight seasons and also an opportunity to see an especially epic mission. This isn’t the sort of show that tries to slow down for an extended period of time, and we’ve got a hard time thinking that they are going to do so here, either.
Hawaii Five-0 will premiere on CBS come Friday, September 28 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, with an episode that is an homage to the original TV series pilot “Cocoon.” You can see the latest promo for it over here; there’s a pretty good chance that it will make your hairs stand on end. How can it not after you see Wo Fat again in some capacity?
