Bachelor in Paradise 5 finale spoilers: Will someone get engaged?

Bachelor in Paradise season 5 premiere date

The Bachelor in Paradise 5 finale is going to be coming your way on ABC this weekend, and love will absolutely be in the air. Yet, will that actually lead to some sort of commitment?

Tuesday night marks the end to what has been a very-strange season for this show in a lot of ways. There haven’t really been too many headlines to come out of Paradise this summer, and most of the characters this season have been somewhat polarizing beyond maybe Grocery Store Joe and some of the women. Jordan’s a great example of that. Some find him entertainment gold whereas others cannot wait for him to run away from the screen as soon as humanly possible. There is no middle ground here.

While it’s possible that there will be an engagement during the finale, sometimes seeing is not believing. Remember that promo that ABC showed for the reunion show that showcased a possible proposal? Well, if you look at it closely, it’s clear that it is from the Bachelor Winter Games reunion and this is yet another one of the franchise’s classic tricks to convince you to watch. Given that the ratings are fairly solid and there could still be proposals elsewhere, it’s hard to really figure as to why production would feel like this was even necessary. Yet, clearly they think that it is since otherwise, why would they even do it?

What we can offer you here is the official synopsis from the reunion, just in case you want some additional details as to what really went down on the night:

[In the end], all questions will be answered when the cast reunites to catch everyone up on life since Paradise, including former couples that face one another for the first time after their devastating breakups. While some favorites reunite, others fight, as two old rivals go head-to-head once again. Looking for a second chance, one regretful woman is reunited with the man she broke up with, but can he forgive her once again? Then, the audience is shell-shocked when one romantic hopeful is blindsided and dumped onstage in one of the most intense breakups in Bachelor franchise history. As always, when it comes to Paradise, both passions and tensions are bound to run high.

Notice that there is no real mention of a proposal here. If one happens, it likely does before we get to this point.
