Gotham season 5: Cameron Monaghan hypes up Jeremiah’s look
In particular, we mean that through the lens of what’s going on with the villains — especially when it comes to Cameron Monaghan as Jeremiah. We’re thrilled to know that the character is returning, especially since he’s basically pulling double-duty these days in between this show and also Shameless, which is losing one of his major co-stars in Emmy Rossum at the end of season 9. Given that Gotham is in its final season, it of course is also essential that we get some Jeremiah mixed in there. If he is meant to be the Joker down the road, or at least the show’s version of him, it’s pretty integral we see more of him.
No matter how many episodes the character appears in, we can at least say this: This version of Jeremiah is going to look especially cool. In a new post on Twitter, Monaghan himself had the following to say on the subject:
“Jeremiah looks f—ing dope this year. Not even gonna front and try to be humble because I’m not in charge of the design departments. These looks are [fire].”
Basically, you’re going to love Jeremiah (or at least love to hate him) whenever the character does turn up. His purpose is to be a significant challenge to Bruce Wayne and the city at large, and we certainly have all sorts of confidence that he is going to deliver on that. This is one of the show’s signature villains, and we know that if Jeremiah has his way, he’s going to his best to make sure that his story ends with as big of a bang possible.
