Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 7 review: Wynonna & Nicole’s excellent adventure
From here, things got even more ridiculous as Nicole and Wynonna accidentally trapped Bunny inside the car before having to engage in a drinking contest as a means to get some help to bring her back. The comedy in the bar scene, coupled with the two women stumbling through the snow afterwards, was nothing short of outstanding. Even the fight scene in the snow was equally entertaining, stuffed full of great references and the “I miss Macaulay Culkin line.”
There were so many things that were great about this storyline, which mostly centered on whether or not Nicole should get the promotion to Sheriff. Bunny didn’t want to support Haught for this position for a variety of reasons (including maybe homophobia), but she got a cold, hard realization tonight that there were so many monsters in Purgatory that Nedley hadn’t been cluing her in on. There was also a secret that Wynonna let Nicole in on tonight: It was actually Nedley who saved her so many years ago during the Cult of Bulshar massacre.
The scene between Nedley and Haught at the end of the episode was beautiful — really, you could make a case that this episode was the best one for Katherine Barrell of the entire series.
Beyond what’s happening with Wynonna and Nicole tonight, Mama Earp spent a little bit of time with Doc … and made a decision that a number of people probably are not too thrilled with. After all, she fled in order to find Julian. Waverly broke the news to Wynonna after her arrival back to her home. Doc arrived not too long after in order to give her Bulshar’s ring — it was a good way to protect her in a battle ahead. In her farewell letter, Mama Earp told Wynonna not to trust Doc, and that led to a big confrontation about his true nature. It was at that moment Doc, in a rage, ended up showing that he is a vampire.
Just when you thought the confrontation between Nedley and Haught was emotion, this one for Doc and Wynonna was equally so as she decided to no longer welcome him in her home. Now, Doc is alone and left to deal with the consequences of his actions.
CarterMatt Verdict
This episode of Wynonna Earp wasn’t exactly your normal hour of TV, but it was still outstanding. The Wynhaught stuff was great, the emotional moments were top-notch, and the balance here was precisely what we like to see with this show. We laughed a lot at this episode, but in the end, we’re mostly just sad over Doc.

Doc is a vampire “again”? I don’t remember him being a vampire before,
