The Flash season 5 poster highlights Nora West-Allen’s costume
The image below comes your way via E! News, and it showcases Jessica Parker Kennedy in costume as her character, a speedster from the future with the same purple lightning that Iris had for the one episode in which she had powers. That episode was meant in many ways to set up Nora, who has a costume that is very reminiscent of the one that Iris wore. There are some subtle differences, and we got a good tease of what the costume looked like in the finale. (That’s where the picture above comes from.) The big difference here is that we now have a look from the front of it and the logo that Nora has on the front.

With Kennedy a series regular for season 5, we don’t feel like it’s going to take all that long for us to get a good sense as to precisely why The Flash is bringing her on board in such a capacity. We know that she screwed up something in the future and she needs her father’s help to solve it … but it’s not entirely clear just what that is just yet. What is clear to us is that she values his experience and in the present, there may not have been enough time in order to fix it.
What we’re probably the most curious about here, beyond just the relation between Nora’s arrival in this timeline and the Big Bad known as Cicada, is whether or not The Flash can balance two different speedsters without the series eventually feeling overpowered in some way. This is something that they really struggled with when they had Keiynan Lonsdale around on a regular basis as Wally.
