Ink Master season 11 episode 2 preview: Some of the drama to come

Ink Master

What lies ahead on Ink Master season 11 episode 2? In one week’s time, you’ll get a chance to see what is basically the formal beginning to the show.

Based on the end of tonight’s episode, everyone has a team and with that, the structure is set to move into the all-familiar Flash Challenge / Elimination Challenge combo that we’ve seen so many times in the past.

On paper, we would imagine that the Flash Challenges are going to be very much about teamwork this time around, the two groups have to battle it out to get some sort of skull-pick bonus on the other team. This is going to be a good test of both Cleen Rock One and Christian Buckingham’s leadership skills and then also the contestants’ ability to get strange tasks done in a certain period of time. Flash Challenges are weird since rarely are they are about actually being able to tattoo and more so about being an artist.

As for what’s coming up in terms of the larger competition itself, the preview that we saw tonight promises a lot of drama, arguments, people storming off, and even at one point an altercation featuring a couple of people. This is a season that is going to be hyper-competitive with contestants doing everything that they can in order to get a leg up and make it really far in the competition. That’s a big part of what makes having someone like Christian on the season exciting — after all, he is an exceptional strategist and he may get some of his team members to try to pull some various mind-games on unsuspecting people.

In the end, the foundation is set for a rather exciting season ahead.
