STAR season 3 promo features a new sort of drama
Let’s just put it this way — it’s one thing to handle the media to the way of your choosing when you are a rising pop artist. It’s another thing altogether when you are pregnant. Your priorities change and all of a sudden, you have to think with a slightly-different perspective in mind. Star may be on some level thinking about this as she goes about her business … but she also may be generating a lot of publicity when it comes to the mystery around her baby’s father. Why else would she be making a music video talking about how this pregnancy was immaculate? It’s the sort of thing that is completely over-the-top, but somehow also still very much at the center of what this show is. It’s trying to tell the biggest story possible, and Star is the first to have a pregnancy at the center of what they want to do when it comes to a promotional strategy.
This season, pregnancy story aside, is probably going to throw some timely and topical stories at the girl group, and then also allow them to meet some new faces. How else do you explain Chad Michael Murray becoming a major cast member on the show moving forward? Given that the show has lost some major characters over the years, it makes a certain degree of sense that they find some new energy to bring in.
