Big Brother 20 live feed spoilers: Scottie’s apology (day 61, evening)

Scottie

Tonight in the Big Brother 20 house, what we had was yet another reminder that Scottie is a nice guy when the dust settles. Unfortunately, he’s also a dead man walking entering Thursday night.

For a good part of the day, Scottie (and Sam) worked to try and execute a plan in which they could convince Faysal to nominate Haleigh for eviction rather than himself. Sam pushed this really hard, but to no avail. Meanwhile, some other people in the house, including Angela and Tyler, discouraged Scottie from making a big speech moving into Monday’s Veto Ceremony that would throw Haleigh under the bus super-hard.

Ultimately, some information about this Scottie plot got back to Haleigh, and she made it clear that she was super-sad about it to many people. Eventually, Scottie realized that he didn’t want to go out that way, and tonight he apologized to her profusely and wondered what he did to deserve someone like her … which was sad. Basically, all of this is pretty sad.

One of the under-developed stories that is still out there, even with the show tonight, is how much Scottie cares for Haleigh. The guy clearly has feelings for her and is blinded in part by them; that’s why it was good for her game if he was to stick around.

The big question that we still have after all of this is something that Tyler even raised tonight — why isn’t Faysal targeting Sam, given that she was one of the perpetrators in all of this? Apparently, he feels fairly safe with her, which is odd just because it’s obviously that Sam wants Haleigh out of the game — not targeting someone who is targeting an ally is never a particularly great move to make in the game.
