Game of Thrones series finale: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau on final script

Game of Thrones

Just in case you needed to by hyped up more about the Game of Thrones series finale, don’t worry: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s got you.

One of the real challenges that we imagine many cast members having at the moment when it comes to the series is simply finding a way to get people excited without revealing much of anything. We don’t think that it’s a particularly easy thing but one way or another, they find a way to pull it off.

For a little more news on this very subject, check out more of what the actor had to say in a new interview with The Wrap on the subject:

I mean, when I read it — I’ve spent so many years working on this and been guessing and trying to figure out how this will end — and when I read it, some of the parts of it I’d get, and other parts of it were just completely shocking and surprising. And it wasn’t, there were none of those horrible — you know shows where it’s a murder mystery and at the very last minute you find out it doesn’t make sense? But here all the pieces fit into this massive jigsaw puzzle.

With that, one thing does feel pretty assured: There is going to be closure at the end of the road here. You’re going to have a chance in order to see answers to a number of different questions. Even if they are not the answers that you necessarily want, they are answers nonetheless. There’s probably not going to be any sort of tease for the upcoming spin-off series, mostly because that is meant to be a prequel set long before the events of this series.

Game of Thrones will return for its eighth and final season in the first half of 2018 — for more news, head over here to see some other discussion
