Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 5 sneak peek: The Jolene crisis

Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 5

Moving into Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 5 on Syfy Friday night, it remains fairly clear that there is a huge problem in the form of Jolene. It appears as though this character is some sort of a demon with a unique ability to rewrite history. She can manipulate minds to make people think that she’s just always been there! This is why, at the end of this past episode, you saw members of our beloved Purgatory family sit around and enjoy one another’s company, completely unaware that she was a newcomer in their midst.

Yet, it does seem as though there is one person who may be able to detect what’s really going on here: Michelle. Wynonna and Waverly’s mom has been tied up in the barn in the wake of much of what we’ve seen recently, as there is something within her that absolutely wants Waverly dead. There are a number of different challenges for Waverly over the course of this episode because of this — she has to figure out a way to connect further with Michelle, while also recognizing the danger that she is in.

Oh, and it’s also worth noting that Michelle is the one person who is cognizant of the fact that Jolene may not really belong there. This is made clear at the tail end of the sneak peek below, as she seems confused the moment that Waverly first brings up her name. This creates an interesting dynamic, given that the person who may actually be able to save Wynonna and Waverly is the same person who may also end up harming them. Waverly is probably going to have to take a gamble here, but the biggest thing that we would make clear is simply that if she doesn’t take the risk, more than likely nothing will change.
