American Horror Story: Apocalypse spoilers: Lily Rabe, Stevie Nicks returning
In a new post on Twitter, the showrunner revealed that Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, and Stevie Nicks are all going to be reprising the roles that they had on the third season (subtitled Coven) in the new season premiering this month. This show is hugely ambitious in that Murphy is throwing this season into the same world as American Horror Story: Murder House — which we imagine is not going to be an easy task. We’re excited for all of these reprisals, but one of our initial fears when it comes to this season still remains — it’s such an influx of people that you could have too much going on at one time.
Yet, we’re excited about this season because it’s something that we haven’t seen with the series before — while there have been some small crossovers here and there over the years (the Pepper crossover between Asylum and Freak Show is one of the best things that this franchise has ever done), there’s never been a full-fledged crossover series. This is a chance to really dive in and see where characters are on the other side of their respective seasons.
Granted, one of the biggest challenges that remains here is how to pick up many of these stories after many of these characters have been killed off. Bringing back Madison (Emma Roberts) is just one example of the challenge that the new series is facing.
