America’s Got Talent: Angel City Chorale & Olivia Munn’s Golden Buzzer

Tonight, America’s Got Talent brought you the second round of Judge Cuts, and with that, Olivia Munn had a Golden Buzzer that she needed to use! Given that Munn is a self-proclaimed huge fan of the show, there was a big part of us that hoped we would see her do something super-creative with it. Really, we wanted to see her use it on an act that we don’t tend to see on the show very much.

That brings us to Angel City Chorale, one of the more magical acts of the season. Their audition to Toto’s “Africa” was joyous and wonderful! Their music has so much passion and culture, and while a lot of it is about them having great vocals, it’s so much more than just that. There is percussion, movement, dance, and creating an experience. This is about bringing people together with an experience that is different than you’re going to get from almost any other choir out there. It’s probably even more incredible if you are there to witness it in person.

For the record, we also gotta say that we love Olivia Munn’s form when pushing the Golden Buzzer. She was quick and subtle about it rather than just making it obvious what she was going to be doing.

It remains to be seen if Angel City Chorale can win, but we certainly do think that they’ve got a good shot of at least making it a few more rounds.
