Outlander notes: Vegas convention begins; Sam Heughan interview day
For everyone who is in Las Vegas, there’s a good chance that you are already knee-deep in a lot of assorted fun when it comes to the series. The big Official Outlander Convention is happening there and in between vendors, guests, panels, and so much more, it feels like there’s a lot to do! There have already been some lively panels with Lotte Verbeek as well as Steven Cree, and there are so many more that are going to be coming up. This is a great chance for many West Coast fans to get together in particular, mostly since there is no San Diego Comic-Con this year and it may not be until later this year when some of the cast is back together to do press in Los Angeles for the fourth season premiering on Starz this November.
The convention is happening over at Bally’s over the next few days, so if there are any other notable updates that we have on the subject, we’ll be sure to let you know here!
What’s going on with Sam Heughan? – As some out there likely know, Sam was originally supposed to be a panelist at the convention tonight, but eventually had to end up canceling the gig because of work elsewhere. Judging from many of his posts on Twitter, he wasn’t around because he was doing press in New York for The Spy Who Dumped Me. Today is junket day, which mostly just means sitting around and doing a wide array of fairly-quick interviews on the subject of the show. There are some really fun conversations that can come out of these days, but a lot of it really depends on the approach from the outlet and some of the questions that they ask.
Ultimately, rest assured that we are going to have many more stories featuring Sam promoting this movie and more in the weeks ahead. The Spy Who Dumped Me, after all, does not premiere until August.
