Little Big Shots season 4 renewal expectations: Will it happen?
Let’s kick things off with a reminder that as of right now, the network hasn’t really tipped their cap one way or another when it comes to the future of the Steve Harvey series. Back when it first premiered, ratings-wise it was considered to be an enormous hit! However, since that time the show has cooled a little bit. That does happen when you’re doing a series that doesn’t really have any sort of thread that goes from one week to the next.
So far, season 3 has averaged around a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and also more than 6.1 million viewers. While these numbers are both down versus the second season by a pretty wide margin, there’s still something here to celebrate. These are good ratings for a series airing in the summer, and we do think that NBC will consider that on some level as they are figuring out the future of the show. This also isn’t the most expensive series out there — save for paying Steve Harvey, what else on this show really comes with a hefty price tag? It’s a chance to showcase some young talent and typically, there are no big names competing.
We also do think that there is some appeal here for NBC to keep the show around, especially if you think of Little Big Shots almost as a farm system for some of the other programs that are talent-oriented in nature, especially America’s Got Talent.
Ultimately, let’s just hope for some sort of renewal announcement over the course of the coming weeks. The last thing that we want to see is NBC taking forever to make a decision. They already did that with Timeless.
